INTRODUCTION

In 2000, Lindfield Parish Council conducted a village appraisal.  Questionnaires were delivered by hand to the whole village. The survey contained both “tick box” type questions and “comment” type questions, about a number of aspects of village life. This report gives the results of the survey.

We have tried to make the report simple and informative, including the totals from the tick box questions and a summary of the comments. Please note that not everybody answered every question.  In the figures that follow, percentages refer to the number of answers to the particular question, not to the number of respondents overall.

Appendices, giving full print outs of the numerical (tick box) data and an analysis of the comments, are available.  (To preserve the privacy of the respondents, the full transcript of the comments is not publicly available.)
