WHO RESPONDED?

A total of 932 people from 604 households responded to the survey.  This represents around one quarter (25%) of households in the village.  (This rate of response is similar to that achieved in Hurstpierpoint, for their appraisal.)

Age

The age range of respondents is set out in Figure 1, overpage.  More women than men replied.  The biggest age group represented (23%) was 45-59.  Only 7% were under 25.  40% were over 65.

Children

92 households had children at nursery or primary school, and 73 had children at middle or secondary school.  None of the respondents had children at special school.  Fewer than one percent reported that their children had difficulty in attending after school activity.
